RE: STEALTH TOYHAULER BY FOREST RIVER

We got a Wolfpack 27DFWP by Forest River this past spring and it suits our needs perfect. Tow it with a 07 F150 with no problems. It has plenty of room to carry our toys. We have a Kawasaki Brute 750, Honda Rancher 400AT and a Polaris RZR. I haven't tried because of no need to but I think I might be able to squeeze all 3 in there at once (then the F150 might have a bit of problem in the hills). We really like the walk around front queen bed (main reason for going with that RV). The front queen also folds up to allow for more cargo area if needed. We went with no rear beds because we have no need for them. Just make sure to get with 5200# axles because they offer 3500# as standard and it reduces the cargo capacity by over 3000#.

RE: Dometic Too cold

Yup, I feel the same. I've done everything I can to help him. At one point there was a board on ebay that went for $.01 and he wouldn't even place a bid. I'm sure at this point he will still have problem next season.

RE: Dometic Too cold

Don't know for sure weather or not it will fix it because the owner hasn't decided to invest in a replacement yet. His idea of fixing it is to open the door often so stuff in it stops freezing. Cheaper than buying the board. I told him it can't be good for the fridge to run not stop all the time. As far as I know he still hasn't even done the recall repair that he got last year on it.

RE: Propane connection

What I did for my Roadtrip was picked up a spare regulator off e-bay and cut the regulator off of the tubing that screws to the back of the grill then slid the hose that has the quick coupler on it over the tubing and clamped it there with small hose clamp. Works great now for the second year.

RE: Dometic Too cold

I checked the ohms on the thermistor and it was 9300 so it looks like the board is bad.

RE: Dometic Too cold

I have checked the mounting of the thermistor and even tried to relocate but nothing makes a differance. I'll test the ohms on it this weekend when I get back to the camp site per Chris's specs to see what they are and go from there.
Thanks everyone for the info.

Dometic Too cold

A friend has a toy hauler and the fridge runs all the time and freezes every thing in the fridge compartment. Doesn't matter weather its on propane or electric it never shuts off. My guess is either the thermistor or the main board. Is there a way to test either of them to deturmine which is the culpret? Or might it be something else causing the problem?

RE: Need Advice

We got a new Wolf Pack 27DFWP in May and love it so far. We can carry a Polaris RZR and still have room left for a 4X4 ATV. I would recomend the 5200# axles over the 3500#. With the 5200# axles the cargo carry capacity is 4330# and with 3500# the CCC is 1169#. Also a lot more stable on the highway with the heavier axles and tires.

RE: I need some opinions please

I got a WP27 this spring and it fits us perfect. When I ordered it I told the salesman I needed a minimum of 1800lb in cargo area. He said that it had 2100lb capacity and a GVW of 11000 so I said it would work for us. At the time I had no idea what the capacity of the axles were. Once I got it home I noticed the 3500 axles. 3500 + 3500 = 7000 and I knew there was no 4000 on the hitch so I questioned it. Then I found the capacity sticker in the back of the cabinet over the sink.GVWR 8011lb, UVW 5899lb, 106 water 880lb, propane 63lb, CCC 1169. When I told the saleman about it he said it would be taken care of and I agreed to changeing the axles to 5200lb and which brought the CCC up to about 4300lb, GVW 11000 (If I remember correctly)and it handle much better on the road also.

RE: RZR Owners Speak Up!

I have a 750 Brute Force and my wife has a Honda Rancher 400AT. In June of 07 we purchased the first RZR in our area. We have not been on any trail rides with the ATV since we got the RZR. We LOVE it and ride every chance we get. We only wish NY would open its eyes to the money it could bring in to the economy if it would open trail systems and promote the sport. Even with no legal places to ride the SxSs here we managed to do about 1600 mile in 13 months.

RE: Trunnion bar lip in head sheared off.

The head in the pic is for the round bar style not the trunnion style. If in fact yours is the trunnion style and broke the top lip in the area where the top trunnion pin on the bar fits into the head I suspect you might have broken it when backing up and turned too sharp. The arm came in contact with the end of the trailer frame and popped the lip off. Look closely for contact marks on the bar and trailer frame end under the coupler. Been there done that.

RE: Pros and cons of Wolf Pack 27DFWP

We picked up our new Wolf Pack 27DFWP a few weeks ago. So far we have only had a few issues with it. The rep at Forest River has been great on getting us over the issues. As far as the dealer they offer very little help and can't ever get them to return calls. I would highly recommend a Forest River product but the dealer service is a different issue. Once they make the sale and get their $s they are hard to talk to. The dealer that is.
We love the Wolf Pack floor plan and the walk around front queen bed is a must have for us.

RE: I'm going to try a fun thread this time!!!!

Beer = Guinness
Drink = Makers Mark + Coke or a Bloody Cesar
Wine = most all kinds when I feel adventurous or happen by a winery
The wife likes to make blender drinks for the group on those lazy hot summer days.

RE: Black tank odors

I was getting odor from my blackwater tank last spring. What I found was there is an overflow drain in the toilet in the location of where the water comes into the toilet bowl. Over the winter it dried out and the little flapper valve at the bottom of it stuck open and would let odors back up the overflow. To fix the problem just fill toilet to get the water to run down the overflow port. It will fill the tube and also unstick the flapper on the bottom end of it should it be stuck open. Might not be your problem but worth it to give it a try.

RE: wolfpack27dfwp ?

I just ordered a new 27DFWP. Was told 6-8 weeks for delivery. They had the best price for a toy-hauler that meet our requirements. We needed the queen walk around front bed, 1/2 ton towable and able to haul a Polaris RZR along with a Kawasaki Brute Force. With those 3 requirements there in not a lot of choices out there. Hope we made the right choice with the Wolfpack.

RE: T-H feedback

I also concidered a 5th wheel but the added weight was a concern. I would have also had to purchase a new hitch. So taking into concideration the extra weight and expence of the hitch and losing the box of my truck to carry gear I decided to go TT style. I do really like the interior layout and exterior looks of the 5th wheel. Its been a long and sleepless nights decision process. Just hope I made the right one.

RE: T-H feedback

Ouch, 3200# off is a big mistake. I couldn't afford that much weight difference as I'm maxed out with the 27DFWP. Let me know how you make out.

RE: T-H feedback

No I didn't here about the warranty. I'll check with the dealer on it because for $100 its a good deal. The Coachmen was more plush inside. There was rust starting on the front frame and the chrome wheels which didn't impress me and the 50% higher price I really didn't like.
Thanks for the info

RE: T-H feedback

OK, will do. Thanks
If its not the 10351 that is on the order form I will demand my deposit back because will not work for me as ordered. The one I went and looked at on Saturday, I'm pretty sure had 5 lug wheels. I know for sure they were an off road mud type tire with alum wheels. I didn't hash out the weights at the time because he had already verified from Forest River before hand. That was the first thing I went over with the dealer before I made the 3.5 hour trip to his place to see one. So he is on notice that the weight is a concern of mine. I did glance at the weight sticker in the cabinet but don't recall what it was but sure if it was off I would have mentioned it. I didn't look at the vin tag to see what it said about the GVWR. There was what felt like a windchill of -20 there so I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked to for inspection. Have 6 to 8 weeks to worry about it before it gets here. Haven't sold mine yet so not afoot yet.
